Haraz COffee

AB Group PLLC was commissioned to lead the full architectural and interior design for Haraz Coffee, a 1,600-square-foot food and beverage project conceived as a welcoming neighborhood coffee shop rooted in culture, craft, and community. Our team delivered a fully integrated design solution—from concept development through final detailing—carefully tailored to support Haraz Coffee’s brand identity, operational flow, and customer experience.

Through warm materiality, intentional lighting, and a thoughtfully organized layout, the space balances efficiency with comfort, encouraging connection, movement, and moments of pause. Today, Haraz Coffee stands as a vibrant community destination where daily rituals are elevated through design. This project exemplifies AB Group’s commitment to creating human-centered environments that seamlessly blend function, atmosphere, and brand expression.

The design concept for Haraz Coffee was rooted in translating the brand’s cultural heritage and craftsmanship into a modern, approachable café environment. Through a cohesive integration of materiality, lighting, and spatial sequencing, the architecture reinforces Haraz Coffee’s identity while enhancing the customer journey. Every design decision; from the bar layout to display elements;was intentionally aligned to express authenticity, warmth, and a strong sense of place. 

The architectural layout was strategically planned to maximize functionality within the 1,600-square-foot footprint while maintaining an open, inviting atmosphere. Clear circulation paths, an efficient service counter, and flexible seating zones support both peak-hour operations and quieter moments throughout the day. The spatial organization balances back-of-house efficiency with front-of-house experience, ensuring a seamless flow between staff, customers, and the coffee-making process. 

Custom furniture, fixtures, and millwork were carefully designed to reinforce Haraz Coffee’s brand identity while enhancing durability and day-to-day functionality. Integrated seating, bespoke counters, and tailored display elements create visual cohesion and support efficient operations. Material selections and detailing emphasize warmth, craftsmanship, and longevity, contributing to a refined yet approachable café environment. 

The lighting design was curated to shape mood, guide movement, and elevate the overall café experience. A layered approach; combining ambient, task, and accent lighting; highlights key architectural elements while maintaining a warm, welcoming glow throughout the space. Thoughtfully positioned fixtures enhance material textures, support operational needs, and create an atmosphere that transitions seamlessly from morning rituals to evening gatherings. 

Material and finish selections were intentionally curated to balance durability with warmth and visual richness. Natural textures, refined surfaces, and a restrained palette work together to reinforce the brand’s authenticity while supporting the demands of a high-traffic café environment. Each material was selected to enhance tactile experience, age gracefully over time, and contribute to a cohesive, timeless interior expression. 

AB Group PLLC provided comprehensive construction documentation and ongoing coordination to ensure the design vision was executed with precision. Detailed drawings, specifications, and consultant collaboration supported a smooth construction process, aligning architectural intent with budget, schedule, and operational requirements. Continuous communication with contractors and stakeholders helped maintain design quality from permitting through final build-out. 

Branding was seamlessly woven into the architecture to create a cohesive and memorable guest experience. Spatial cues, visual touchpoints, and branded elements were thoughtfully integrated to reinforce Haraz Coffee’s identity without overwhelming the space. The design guides guests intuitively from entry to counter to seating, enhancing comfort, engagement, and connection while elevating the everyday coffee ritual.
