Crave Cookie

Crave Cookies is a 1,300-square-foot food and beverage concept designed to celebrate the craft of fresh, made-from-scratch cookies within a clean, efficient production environment. Designed by Architect Builder Group as both the designer and Architect of Record, the project transforms a compact footprint into a highly functional bakery space that balances production efficiency with strong brand identity. A bold black tile feature wall anchors the interior and frames the illuminated Crave logo, creating a memorable visual focal point that reinforces the brand while elevating the industrial character of the baking space. 

With a total project value of $450,000, the layout prioritizes workflow, durability, and operational clarity. Stainless steel preparation stations, commercial baking equipment, and organized storage support a streamlined production process, allowing staff to move seamlessly from mixing and baking to packaging and service. The interior palette—defined by polished concrete floors, bright lighting, and contrasting black tile—creates a modern yet approachable environment that reflects the energy of a contemporary dessert brand while maintaining the functionality required for high-volume cookie production. 

Architect Builder Group served as both the designer and Architect of Record, shaping a compact 1,300 SF cookie shop into a highly efficient food and beverage production environment. The spatial layout prioritizes operational clarity, organizing baking, preparation, storage, and service zones into a streamlined workflow that supports high-volume production. Open circulation between workstations allows staff to move efficiently between mixing, baking, cooling, and packaging areas, while maintaining clear visual organization across the space. The plan balances back-of-house productivity with brand presence, ensuring the bakery operates as both a functional kitchen and a recognizable retail destination. 

The lighting strategy focuses on delivering bright, even illumination suited for a commercial bakery while reinforcing a clean and contemporary atmosphere. A grid of high-efficiency ceiling fixtures provides consistent task lighting across all preparation areas, supporting precision and safety within the workspace. The overall brightness enhances visibility of materials, equipment, and baking processes while maintaining a crisp, polished environment. This approach supports both operational performance and an inviting brand presence that reflects the energetic character of a modern cookie shop.

Durability, hygiene, and visual identity guided the material palette. Polished concrete flooring offers a resilient surface suited for heavy kitchen activity, while stainless steel workstations and commercial equipment provide long-term performance and easy sanitation. A glossy black subway tile feature wall introduces a bold visual contrast that anchors the space and elevates the brand presence within an otherwise utilitarian production environment. The clean white ceiling and neutral walls maintain brightness and clarity throughout the interior, reinforcing a modern, organized baking facility. 

Architect Builder Group prepared comprehensive construction documentation and coordinated closely with consultants, contractors, and equipment providers to ensure seamless project execution. Detailed drawings addressed mechanical systems, kitchen equipment integration, health department requirements, and building code compliance for a food and beverage facility. Coordination throughout the design and construction process ensured that infrastructure, utilities, and equipment installations aligned precisely with the operational needs of the bakery. 

Brand identity is embedded directly into the architectural environment. The illuminated Crave logo set against the glossy black tile wall establishes a strong visual focal point that reinforces brand recognition and creates a memorable backdrop within the bakery. The exterior signage and storefront presence extend this identity to the street, presenting a bold and welcoming arrival moment for guests. Together, these elements connect the operational baking space with the brand’s energetic personality, creating a cohesive environment that supports both production and customer experience.
